For a number of reasons we have decided to take PicnicOutdoors down.
Apart from the overall economic climate and the punitive brokerage rates the courier companies charge to bring products in to Canada most of the product was from China and there we have an ethical problem.
Our hearts go out to the victims of the recent earthquakes in Szechuan and other areas but we no longer wish to provide products from China that assist in propping up a government whose humanitarian and human rights record in Tibet and continued systemic abuse of its own citizens cannot be condoned.
We wish the Chinese people well.
